Meirav Cohen
Meirav started doing acro in NYC in 2018 and has been balancing on other’s feet since. She doesn’t really like “holding her shape”, so you will mostly see her flowing from one pose to the other, in the most interesting (and challenging) way she and her partner can think of. Her Pilates experience adds more creativity into her acro practice, and more sore abs for her students. As much as she enjoys the physical practice of acro, she enjoys the community and the conversations that come up, figuring out how to play and trust others as adults.
Brandon Plaster
Brandon has been a coast-to-coast experimental acroist since 2017. He views acro as a communication practice as seen through the lens of anatomical physics. He seeks to enable students to explore and create together in a physically and emotionally safe environment by providing analytical, tactile, and communicative toolsets. His teachings concentrate on the break down of puzzles into their fundamentals with a focus on the “why” of the technique, rather than the “how”. To him, safety is paramount and he seeks to instill a sense of responsibility and pride in the community for its ability to keep each other safe.
